Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals & E4FC

Parents & Faculty at Mountain View High School E4FC Presentation

On Tuesday, May 28th, Nicole assisted with an event held at Mountain View High School in Mountain View, California, hosted by the non-profit organization E4FC (Educators for Fair Consideration). Presentations were given to educate parents and faculty regarding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and the options for undocumented immigrants to apply for scholarships and financial aid in California. Nicole answered questions and reviewed DACA paperwork for filing.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals is a policy that was implemented by the Obama administration on June 15, 2012, and presently remains in effect. It is not a new law or regulation, but a policy directive given by the executive branch of the United States government that instructs immigration officials to forego prosecution and deportation of certain young undocumented individuals who have graduated from high school or are currently enrolled in an educational institution. An individual must apply for DACA to reap its benefits. To learn more about DACA or to schedule an initial legal evaluation with us to discover your options under immigration law, please visit our website.

Access to financial aid and certain scholarships is available for undocumented youth. To learn more, read the E4FC guide entitled Advice for Parents.
